It is used to make crucible for vacuum induction melting, high-purity zirconium sizing nozzle or zirconium composite long nozzle brick for steelmaking, furnace lining with service temperature greater than 1800 ℃ and lining brick of gas reaction furnace.

Zirconia products can be made into ultra-high temperature electric furnace heater, high temperature furnace tube, wire drawing die, etc. because of their semiconductor properties.

It can also be made into zirconia elements for continuous temperature measurement of high-temperature solution and zirconia elements for various oxygen determiners.

Fused zirconia sand can be used as aggregate of zirconium amorphous materials, casting sand of titanium alloy and plasma spraying materials.
